MN Flite Controller

ClientFlite

On 26 March 2018 the Fliteboard was still taking pre-orders, and Tekt was already named on the program — publicly, alongside Fliteboard and Katapult Design. The MN Flite Controller is the handset from that same Tekt–Flite relationship: a Marc Newson collaboration with a colour display and a wireless inductive charging dock.

MN Flite Controller

Tekt's work with Flite is on the public record from 26 March 2018, when Tekt announced it was helping bring the Fliteboard to life in partnership with two Australian companies, Fliteboard and Katapult Design. At that date the boards were available for pre-order, so Tekt was on the program before the first customer deliveries rather than after them. Tekt filed the work at the time under a heading of its own: watercraft electrical systems.

What Tekt built in that first phase was the electronic control systems and the wireless interfaces the rider uses. The MN Flite Controller is the handset side of that work, developed in collaboration with Marc Newson. It carries a colour display that gives the rider feedback while riding, and it charges on a wireless inductive dock.

Tekt has been on the Flite program since before the first boards shipped, and Nordic Semiconductor is the named partner on the controller.
